K’GARI PROJECT

Set on the remarkable coastline of K’gari, this full house joinery fit-out is a response to place as much as it is to function. Guided by environmental sensitivity and sustainable building practices, the design embraces the island’s raw beauty—working with, rather than against, its conditions. Materials, finishes and construction methods have been carefully selected to honour the landscape, resulting in a home that feels grounded, intentional and quietly refined.

Every element of the joinery has been thoughtfully resolved to support both durability and ease of living in a coastal environment. From integrated storage and custom detailing to the considered use of natural textures, the design balances resilience with a soft, lived-in elegance. There is a rhythm to the spaces—where functionality flows effortlessly and each zone connects seamlessly to the next, enhancing the experience of the home as a whole.

K’gari is defined by a meticulous attention to detail—nothing has been left to chance. Every junction, material transition and spatial moment has been carefully curated to create a cohesive and enduring outcome. The result is a dwelling that sits organically within its surroundings—timeless in its execution, deeply connected to its environment, and designed to be experienced as much as it is to be lived in.
